Puneet Kaura serves as Managing Director & CEO of Samtel Avionics Limited, where he leads the company's strategic direction, business growth, technology development, and expansion across defence, aerospace, railways, space, UAVs, and other emerging strategic sectors. Under his leadership, Samtel has evolved into a diversified technology company focused on developing high-reliability solutions for mission-critical applications.

A management graduate from Bentley College, USA, Puneet began his professional career with Corning Incorporated in the United States and later worked with Samtel Electron Devices in Germany. Since returning to India, he has played a pivotal role in building and expanding Samtel's avionics and defence business, while supporting the development of indigenous technologies and long-term strategic capabilities.

Over the course of his leadership journey, Puneet has been instrumental in establishing key strategic partnerships and joint ventures that have strengthened Samtel's position within India's aerospace and defence ecosystem. He played an important role in the development of Samtel's joint ventures with Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Thales, helping create a strong foundation for indigenous avionics and defence electronics capabilities. He has also led the company's expansion into new growth areas including railway electronics, space technologies, and unmanned systems.

Beyond Samtel, Puneet actively contributes to industry development and policy dialogue. He currently serves as Chairperson of the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) Northern Region and Chairman – Delhi State of the Society of Indian Defence Manufacturers (SIDM), working closely with industry leaders, policymakers, and government stakeholders.
